04/08/2009 Annual mixed martial arts team tournament «Union Nation Cup»
Professional Fighting Championship (ProFC) and Autonomous Non-commercial Organization Sports Club «Peresvet», under the auspices of «DIMEX» Company, hold the annual tournament of mixed martial arts «Union Nation Cup», with 8 participant teams, each of which consists of 5 sportsmen. The following countries will represent their teams:
· Russia
«Peresvet FT» (Rostov-on-Don),
«АЕ Team» (Saint Petersburg),
«RusFighters» (Saint Petersburg)
« AMA Chiest» (Moscow)
· Ukraine
· Kazakhstan
· Armenia
· Byelorussia
Within the frames of the project there will be held 6 qualifying tournaments and the final, the ultimate purpose of which is to select the strongest fighters. They will form the “USSR” team, which will represent the countries of post-Soviet territory in the tournament «USSR v.s. USA» in 2010 y., as well as in the other international tournaments. The Final will be held in the beginning of May, 2010 y. and will be timed to 65th anniversary of the Great Patriotic War.
On the 21st of August 2009 y. in the tourist complex “Petrovskiy Prichal”, Rostov-on-Don city, the first tournament of the series “Battle on Don” will be held.For the first time in Russia the fights will be held on the ring which will be installed between the berths on the floating structure. The meeting of four teams will take place within the frames of event: team of Russia («Peresvet FT», Rostov-on-Don) will meat the team of Armenia and the team of Ukraine will meat the team of Kazakhstan.
